Dr. Hollie Hickman – Northeast Florida Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Hickman not only provides stellar results for her patients — she also takes an educational approach where she informs them as much as possible. She also takes a holistic approach where she focuses on the patient’s physical, emotional, and social transformation. Dr. Hickman has dedicated herself to providing the best care for her patients through her high standards and meticulous attention to detail.

Education and Training

Dr. Hickman earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a five-year general surgery residency at the esteemed Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. At Vanderbilt University, Dr. Hickman completed her Plastic Surgery fellowship. During her time at Vanderbilt, Dr. Hickman had the honor of training with some of the best plastic surgeons in the field.

Well-trained in virtually all aspects of plastic surgery, Dr. Hickman has a special interest in breast reconstruction surgery. In this arena, Dr. Hickman focuses on educating and empowering her congenital breast defect and breast cancer patients throughout the surgical process.

Dr. Hickman is board-certified and has trained with some of the greatest plastic surgeons in the field. With a passion for educating, Dr. Hickman has taught and spread her knowledge and passion for plastic surgery at several national conferences. In addition, Dr. Hickman has presented her findings at the 92nd Annual Clinical Congress, Florida Committee on Trauma, Peabody Colorectal Conference, SAGES Meeting, Southeastern Surgical Conference, and Southwestern Surgical Conference.

Supermom: Being a Mother and Wife

When not in the office, Dr. Hickman has her hands full as a mother of four wonderful children and as a loving wife to her husband, Neil. This supermom’s hobbies include playing dress-up, having after-dinner dance-offs, and playing cards with her son. Dr. Hickman is usually noticeable with a shopping cart full of kiddos at the local Target on any given week. Despite her hectic schedule, Dr. Hickman and her husband try to schedule date nights and spend time with their wonderful family and friends as much as possible.
